Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. MFA setup is required upon account creation. Prometheum supports the following authentification methods:
- Google Authenticator
- Okta Verify
- Email Verification
Google Authenticator
Google Authenticator is a mobile app that generates a one-time verification code. During account setup, select "Google Authenticator" as your MFA method, then scan the provided QR code using the app — or enter the setup key manually if scanning is not available. At login, open the app and enter the current verification code to complete sign-in.
Google Authenticator is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
Okta Verify
Okta Verify is a mobile app that generates a one-time verification code. During account setup, select "Okta Verify" as your MFA method, then scan the provided QR code using the app — or enter the setup key manually if scanning is not available. At login, open the app and enter the current verification code to complete sign-in.
Okta Verify is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
Email Verification
Email Verification is a simpler alternative to authenticator apps. During account setup, select "Verify by Email" as your MFA method. No QR code scanning or activation code entry is required.
At login, a verification email will be sent automatically to your registered email address. Simply click the link in the email to complete sign-in.
